I just returned from the Sabi Sand safari which you booked for my friends Molly, Ayanna and I and I just wanted to say thank you for all you help in putting together the perfect itinerary at Sabi Sand Arathusa Lodge. We have a fabulous time! I really appreciate all your help in answering my questions when putting together the trip; you made great recommendations and were always very responsive in following up. I really appreciated this. The Arathusa lodge was a great recommendation; fabulous accommodations and a very friendly staff. And the transfers to and from the airport to the lodge went smoothly just as scheduled.
We couldn't have asked for a better ending to our World Cup trip; thanks again for all your help!

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, has been crazy since we got back. The trip was amazing, thank you so much for all your help! In particular, i cant praise the honeyguide safari enough, that place was spectacular and all the people there so nice! The Primi Seacastle in Camps Bay was also highly recommendable, the room was beautiful, the service excellent and the staff so helpful.
It really was a shame to leave but we will definitely be coming back!

I just wanted to drop a quick note to both of you to express how impressed I was with your service in arranging the Exeter River Lodge safari and otherwise helping out with related details of the trip. I found your operation to be highly professional as well as personal. I was especially impressed with the rapid responses to my queries and and communication back and forth. We're not used to this kind of service in the U.S.

Just a quick note to let you know we've returned from our trip and I can honestly say it was the most amazing vacation of my life (referring to the safari of course). I know Katherine is no longer with Ghecko, but she made the perfect recommendation in Exeter River Lodge, it was ideal for us. I don't know if you know any of the staff there, but they are amazing. Our butler, Christopher, was one of the kindest, friendliest people I have ever met. And our ranger, Richard, was super cool....totally knows his stuff and even impressed us by picking up a 2 metre long python! Our memories and stories from this trip are many, and we'll remember them forever. Everything went smooth with our transfers, flights, etc. and we were extremely pleased.
Hopefully we'll have another safari for an anniversary in the coming years!

Hi there Morné, I am writing you just arrived, we are missing a lot what we have seen and where we have been! Thank you because everything worked very well, and we received a perfect attention in all transfers and in all the lodges. The guys at Moremi Camp are unbeatable! Although we did not see must game, we had an incredible scene of a herd of elephants crossing a river in the Delta. Moreover, we received a very special attention form the staff. They are great people. This is all, but the general satisfaction was excellent!

What can I say, I cannot recommend Kirkman’s highly enough. Every day was different. The game viewing was fantastic, it started with a large Bull elephant on the lawn at lunch perusing his love of marula fruit. Dinner in the evening, after seeing leopards (mother and son) eating their kill on the game drive, was on the lawn accompanied by 3 waterbuck and later on by a hyena who showed some interest. We had male rhino running down trails after females. All this was fantastic but what really made Kirkman’s special were the people – Cynthia (our waitress / host), Marcus (our German / Kenyan ranger) and Elvis (the tracker – just never got him to sing) and all the other staff. However despite all this I have to say that Johann (hope the spelling is correct) , our guide for the first 2 /3 days in Kruger (from Mfafa) had made Kirkman’s life so easy. He couldn’t do enough to make our stay an experience never to forget – his braai skills were second to none. By the end of this part of the trip he had managed to show us all the big 5 except the leopard – something I had not expected and had told my parents not to expect too much as I know how unpredictable Kruger can be. Johann was an absolute star – Very Highly Recommended.
This was the best Kruger experience we have ever had – as it was my parents first time I do believe that they will never be able to beat this. Kind Regards and thank you for all your help in making this the trip that my parents and we will never forget.

The trip was amazing, the sights on safari were just unreal! Exeter river was so beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make it the most perfect honeymoon. Many thanks to you and your team for organising a truly fantastic itinerary for us, the attention to detail of which cannot be overstated.
From your personal meet and greet at Cape Town airport, to the presentation of an elegant document holder containing every last detail needed for the complete tour, together with the complimentary storage container complete with golf balls and tees right through to arranging match tickets for us at Newlands (although even you could not arrange for an England victory) to the great day at Pearl Valley, and if that day was special, so was all the restaurant bookings made for us in Cape Town V&A, with your local knowledge, you really do know the places to be.
As you know this was the second year running that I’ve used Pro Golf for a stay at Fancourt and, as with the Cape Town leg, the organisation on your part was excellent.
As for Fancourt itself, it is quite simply a fabulous resort with a very worthy five star rating, and anyone playing The Links course will enjoy an experience never to be forgotten.
This year I took my three sons and the whole experience will I’m sure be remembered and relayed to their friends for some time to come and of course the same goes for me.
I’m also sure that like me, they will certainly recommend Pro Golf Safaris as the company to use, be it Golf, Safaris or maybe a bit of both.

Many thanks for your help and recommendations. Please see a few pictures from Kirkman Lodge and Kruger. We had a great time and really enjoyed Kirkman’s Lodge. Ralph and Richard were excellent guides and trackers, as was Friday as our butler. The ability to go off road into the bush really allowed us to see the animals “up close and personal” so to speak. Our sighting of a recently born baby elephant was new even to Ralph and Richard (slides are in the package).
We really enjoyed our 3 weeks – with our stay at Kirkman’s Lodge being the highlight. Jane and I hope to be able to visit SA again – you will be the first we contact in our planning.

Words are almost inadequate to convey what a fantastic experience we had in south Africa. Right from my first contact with your company you made everything smooth sailing and worry free. But only when we arrived in South Africa and began our tour did we fully realize how well you had done for us. The accommodations were delightful - comfortable, luxurious - we felt self indulgent and pampered every step of the way. So we want you to know that you made two people who had been apart for over a year, very, very happy. Is there any website on which your company is featured, on which I can write a recommendation for Ghecko? I wanted to leave you with no doubts as to our impressions of our experience with Ghecko Safaris, and you in particular, Katherine, and also our overall experiences in south Africa - nothing but excellence all the way.

I want to open up by thanking you for organizing a great trip that will be remembered forever, much thanks to your professional touch.
Our only regret is that we did not have a chance to meet you. We were busy from day to night taking in the sights, and trying to utilize every dry moment to get in one extra activity.
The Safari was great. The staff was fantastic, the rides exhilarating, and the accommodation unbelievable. Craig the game driver was super. All the flights and connections were on time, and the lodge at TAMBO, just right.
The Cape Royale hotel was something else- a suite, not a hotel room. Sophia was in heaven. All the staff there were great and went out of their way to take care of us. I highly recommend that place.
You were right- Cape town is a lovely place. We eat at Wakame, Jardine, Siruga, Le Colombe, and a couple of others.
You can rest assured that we will contact Trip Advisor and Frommers to advertise your company.
Steve and Phyllis also had a blast, and I am so glad that they connected with you.

We stayed at Arathusa for 3 nights in mid-August and had a brilliant time.
The only thing we wished we'd done differently was to bring more warm clothing for the game drives as we politely ignored the good advice on their website and came armed with only a fleece each and you need more in the winter as the morning game drive starts before sunrise and the afternoon one ends after dusk with some night game viewing. They do have blankets in the Landcruisers which came in very useful.
Our trip was organised by the very efficient Jo Baker at Ghecko Safaris www.gheckosafaris.com. She organised both Arathusa and Federal Air for us and then helped out at short notice when BA/Comair cancelled our flights from Jo'burg to Mauritius after the safari.

Just wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely fabulous time at Exeter River Lodge. We were very impressed with the facilities, the game tours, the rangers, the setting, the food – pretty hard to find fault with anything! 11 out of 10 …. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

In a word our safari was AWESOME! We are so ready to go back. Just an amazing experience all around. The game viewing of excellent, the weather was excellent and the lodge/staff was excellent. One quick story, we were in the land cruiser for our very first game drive and the ranger had just turned to welcome all of us when before she got more than her name out of her mouth she was called on the radio that a leopard was walking about 100 meters from camp. She quickly sad, “We’re going to keep this intro short! No standing in the vehicle!”…and we were off and had pictures of a leopard on our camera within about 2 minutes.
