Most of the private reserves are easily access able by road and air from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport - better known as KMIA. KMIA is merely a 40 minute drive from the Kruger, and 120 minute drive from the Sabi Sand reserve. There are daily flight between Johannesburg and Hoedspruit / Johannesburg and KMIA as well as Cape Town and KMIA.
